On December 10, 2024, the ADB Annual Meeting 2025, set to be held in Milan from May 4 to 7, was presented at the Italia-ASEAN Association in Rome, in Piazza Montecitorio, during its Board of Directors meeting. Alberto Cogliati, Director at the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), outlined opportunities for participation and provided an overview of the event, which will take place in Italy for the first time.

Founded in 2015, Italia-ASEAN aims to enhance dialogue, understanding, and exchanges between Italy and ASEAN. The Association of Southeast Asian Nations, commonly abbreviated as ASEAN, is a political and economic union of ten Asian states: Brunei, Cambodia, the Philippines, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. The primary objective of ASEAN is to accelerate economic growth, social progress, and cultural development in the region. All ASEAN countries are members of the Asian Development Bank.

The ADB Annual Meeting in Milan in May 2025 marks a significant opportunity to deepen ties with Asia and the Pacific islands, focusing on sustainable development and growth. The event is expected to draw ministers and top officials from the sixty-eight ADB member countries. Alongside the main meetings, various events involving international organizations, businesses, civil society, and academia will take place, fostering comprehensive engagement and collaboration.

In the news section of the website, collaboration and support opportunities for the event are illustrated.
