On May 5, at Allianz MiCo in Milan, the seminar Doing Business in Asia: Opportunities and Italian Success Stories was held as part of the ADB 2025 Annual Meeting.

The event, organized by the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance, Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP), and ITA – Italian Trade Agency, showcased Italy’s institutional ecosystem and how it strategically supports Italian enterprises in exploring opportunities and addressing the challenges of accessing Asia-Pacific markets, as well as engaging in high-impact projects promoted by the Asian Development Bank.

The discussion featured the participation of: Lucia Albano, Undersecretary of the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance, Roberta Casali, Vice-President for Finance and Risk Management, ADB, Giovanni Gorno Tempini, President, CDP, Bhargav Dasgupta, Vice-President for Market Solutions, ADB, Matteo Zoppas, President, ITA – Italian Trade Agency, Alessandra Ricci, CEO, SACE, Massimiliano Fedriga, President, Friuli-Venezia Giulia Region, Alessandro Spada, President, Assolombarda, Nicola Melchiotti, CEO, CESI Group, Valerio Torda, CEO, Lattanzio KIBS, Zeno D’Agostino, President, Technital.

The event also aimed at reinforcing partnerships among Italian stakeholders, ADB representatives, and public and private actors from the Asia Pacific region, to foster shared development goals and sustainable growth. Through the lens of successful case studies, the seminar highlighted concrete examples of Italian businesses already thriving in the Region, including in ADB-financed initiatives, offering practical insights and inspiration for others.
